2023 — recipient of the Russian Government Fellowship in Arts and Cultural Management at the Higher School of Economics.
2021 — recipient of the Therese McCabe Ralston Connor Fellowship in the Digital and Interdisciplinary Arts program at the City College of New York, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, City University of New York, USA.
2019-2020 — recipient of the Alice Beck-Odette Fellowship in Photography, Video, and Related Media for Academic Achievement at SVA, New York, USA.
2019-2020 — recipient of the Microfilm Residency grant for the project “How Free are the Arts?”, funded by Goethe in Lagos, Nigeria. As part of a study of public debates about freedom and limitations of art in Brazil, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Germany. 2017-2018 — recipient of a grant for the production of short films for the project “Film Talents — Voices from Pakistan and Afghanistan, ” sponsored by the Prince Claus Foundation (Netherlands) and the Goethe-Institut Pakistan and Afghanistan.
2013-2017 — Honorary Fellow of the UNESCO South Asia Foundation Madanjeet Institute of South Asian Art (UMISSA SARC) at Beaconhouse National University, Lahore, Pakistan.
